10 races in 8 days
The start of June came fast—and with it came races.
Over 8 days, the Run The Day team supported 10 races. Each one for a different cause with unique vibes.
From races organized by local businesses to others hosted by schools, charities, rotary clubs and nuns. Some had less than 100 runners. Others had nearly 2,000.
All of them had at least 1 thing in common — bringing their community together.
Here’s a recap of the 10 races that we supported from May 31 to June 7:
Last Chance Ranch – A 5K through farmland in support of a horse rescue.
Run Fest – An absolute party celebrating Philly’s running scene. Thank you to Philadelphia Runner!
Run for Woods – Radio personalities, mascots, drumlines and big energy to raise over $350K for Woods Services.
Mountain View Ribbon Run – A scenic race finishing at a winery to raise money for breast cancer patients.
Glen Acres 5K – A family friendly race supporting the local PTO.
Jenkintown Sunset 5K – With live music and lots of hills, almost 800 runners filled the town square at the 33rd annual Tuesday-night classic.
Trail Blazer Run – Beautiful trails with beer at the finish. Over 300 runners set a new attendance record in support of East Bradford Township's public trails.
John Shapiro Superheroes – in memory of a 6 year old boy who lost his battle with brain cancer in 2011. This year’s race was the 13th annual edition.
Nun Run – A fundraiser for IHM Sisters — with more than $35k raised, the proceeds from the event will help the Sisters to purchase new special bathtubs!
Latinas in Motion 5K – A race meant to give the community a big family reunion that feels like a giant hug.
Thank you to everyone who made these events possible. We’re proud to support such awesome events that bring communities together.
