Monopoly money
Monopoly money
It used to bug me that I could easily spend hundreds of dollars booking a flight or buying Sixers tickets on my phone, yet signing up for a 5k felt like an arduous process. Even though I was spending less money, it felt like a lot more work. I was passionate about running races so I was willing to push through, but I feared that others would not do the same.
That's why one of our goals with Run The Day’s new platform is to make paying so easy that participants feel like they are registering with monopoly money.
We’ve experienced a quick win here with over half of transactions now occurring via Apple Pay or 1-click secure payments through Link. Stay tuned for a full pie chart that breaks down how payments are made through Run The Day.
In a world in which big companies have spent huge sums of money training us to think that stuff is valuable (spoiler: stuff is not as valuable as you think), registering for community races and donating to great causes should be just as easy as buying that stuff.
