Why races are important

Over 80% of races in the USA happen from April to November. So, the beginning of April means that race season kicks off across the country.

At the start of a new race season, I wanted to share 4 reasons why I believe that races are important.

  1. Unity: races unite communities.

Everyone comes together at races without a care for religion, politics or skin color.

  2. Causes: races raise money for great causes.

By hosting a race, great community organizations like charities, schools and townships raise money to fund their operations.

  3. Wellness: running makes people feel better.

Races motivate people to run, which makes them healthier.

  4. Memories: races create memories.

Many or our days can be monotonous and easily forgotten. Races provide lifelong memories that we remember on our deathbeds.

Thank you for reading. If you organize a race, thank you for making the future a bit brighter!
